33 designers join CFDA
Give Prabal Gurung, Olivier Theyskens and Dana Lorenz a round of applause—they’re among the 33 designers voted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America last week.
“The class of 2011 represents the largest number of designers since the organization’s founding in 1962,” Steven Kolb, chief executive officer of the CFDA, said. “Each new member is uniquely talented and collectively they add strength to the ever growing influence of the CFDA and American fashion.”
Donna Karan will officially welcome the new group with a party this fall.
