Bump’s new method to share photos from a mobile app to a computer is really clever.  

Using simple technology (the phone’s accelerometer matched against the time the spacebar was pressed), they’re able to pull off a magical effect as the photo instantly appears on computer’s screen.  

They’ve made photo sharing not only an intuitive process, but also into a really cool parlor trick.

Try it out.

In the weeks leading up to Portlandia’s second season premiere on Jan. 6, the company practiced what many marketers consider to be a golden rule for Facebook engagement - pitch exclusive content. During the lead up, the IFC marketing team had been running Facebook ads and posting short clips from the new season in a campaign called, “More Likes, More Portlandia.” Then, from Jan. 1 through Jan. 5, it offered the full Battlestar Galatica-themed episode, dubbed “One Moore Episode,” on its Facebook page and at IFC.com. People who wanted to watch the episode had to first “like” Portlandia’s Facebook page.

According to Saatchi & Saatchi, 66% of tablet owners play social games daily, and 46% of tablet gamers are women. In fact, the largest group of social gamers is women between the ages of 35 and 44, the second largest is women between 18 and 34. Men make up the third largest group.
